VillageCare at 46 & Ten is an Assisted Living Program (ALP) that respects your independence and privacy while providing excellent personal care services that foster an urban lifestyle of comfort and caring. At 46 & Ten a Registered Nurse will complete a nursing assessment and develop a personalized Plan of Care with you to ensure that your needs are met.
Our 24-hour concierge and security service, which oversees the building at all times; and assists residents with arrangements for transportation and medical appointments. Maintenance staff is on site and available to address building services. Housekeeping and linen service are provided weekly. We also provide a personal emergency call system in each apartment that is monitored 24/7 by our staff.
At 46 & Ten, you will find seniors whose life work and experiences create a broad and interesting mosaic. Coronavirus Update
COVID-19 Vaccine at 46 & Ten
**Alert** VillageCare is committed to the health and safety of our patients and staff. We continue to respond to the latest recommendations from State and Federal officials regarding the Coronavirus spread in NY.
Along with thousands of other long-term care facilities, we are participating in a program with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to help us most efficiently distribute these vaccines to our residents free of charge once they are available. Assisted Living facilities are prioritized to receive the vaccination after administration to Nursing Homes. Our staff will also have the opportunity to be vaccinated through this program
You may refer to the CDC website for more information at www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/vaccines. We will keep you informed of this process as we move forward.
VillageCare at 46 & Ten is scheduled to be receiving the vaccine on Saturday, January 30, 2021, for residents and staff. VillageCare is partnering with CVS, one of the approved pharmacies to administer the vaccine. This process requires two doses be administered. Below is are the scheduled vaccination sessions:
- The 1st dose is scheduled to be administered on-site, at 46 & Ten, on Saturday 1/30/2021.
- A 2nd or 1st dose is scheduled to be administered on-site, at VCRN, on Saturday 02/20/2021.
- A final 2nd dose (for those receiving 1st dose on 2/20) is scheduled to be administered on site, at 46 & Ten on Saturday, 3/13/2021.

Limited Family Visitation Allowed

At this time, we are pleased to inform you that we are reopening limited in-person Family Visitation by appointment only for residents at VillageCare at 46 & Ten. Please know that we have developed a comprehensive visitation plan that ensures the safety of our residents, visitors and staff and is compliant with regulations.

As we continue to update you on the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) here in the New York City region, please know that 46 & Ten remains committed to protecting and maintaining the health and safety of our residents and staff.
We have set up a special hotline, 212-337-5906 , if you have any questions or to receive any updates on our visitation policy.
We continue to exercise necessary precautions consistent with state DOH and CDC guidance including monitoring temperature of staff and residents and looking for other signs and symptoms of the virus. If anything is noted, staff will be sent home immediately. Residents that develop symptoms will be dealt with on a case by case basis and their families will be informed.
Please be assured that are doing everything we can to maintain a safe environment and that we continue to refine our protocols as new information becomes available.

Additional steps that we have already taken:
- Professional cleaning and disinfecting of the entire facility
- No communal dining
- All floors isolated and residents are strongly encouraged to stay in their rooms
- Food is delivered directly to resident rooms
- All staff wearing masks and other protective equipment (PPE)
- Residents wearing masks and practicing social distancing
We continue t0 provide phones and IPads to those patients who need them to help you keep in touch during this time.
Following the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Department of Health, we have made the difficult decision to suspend overnight guest stays and modify visiting hours until further notice.
Families will not be allowed to visit except medically necessary, upon the approval of administration.
If you are allowed to visit, you will be screened upon entry and must abide by our facility Infection Control and Prevention Protocol in regard to COVID -19. As per Regulatory mandates, we have the right to restrict all visitation.
The situation will be re-assessed in the near future as more information becomes available from the New York State Department of Health.
